August has come and gone! We enjoyed snow cones during our pool party, had 2, yes 2 bands come and perform for us (they were both amazing!) and we celebrated 2 special couples anniversaries! Dick and Eileen J celebrated 75 years, and Howard and Vivian J celebrated 61 years!
We had an eventful July at Sandstone Senior Living! Summer finally made its appearance, and we are enjoying it! Among the many activities we enjoyed were: 6 birthdays, singing karaoke, and enjoying great conversation and donuts with our beautician!
To recognize Sandstone Senior Living’s new membership to the Spearfish Area Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the facility. Owners Jeremy Schultes and Dave Donat were in attendance along with Sherry Hanson, Business Manager and Connie Pierce, Administrator.
Members of the STAR Touring and Riding Association Chapter 303 joined our residents and staff on August 7 for our annual Biker Luncheon to say thank you for their support. Each year the members of STAR 303 in partnership with businesses and individuals from the Northern Black Hills area raise funds and accept donations for the Forgotten Elderly Program. These funds are used to help support the areas forgotten elderly in local assisted living centers throughout the year and also support local veterans.
